HINTON HARVEST

We are a small family farm of 6 acres committed to producing great quality food whilst carefully ensuring we look after our poultry and our land.

Our land is an old tree nursery that provides a beautiful environment for our poultry and a haven for wildlife at the same time. We share our field with an amazing array of butterflies, moths, woodpeckers, wrens, badgers, grass snakes, bank voles and harvest mice. Much of the land is left 'wild' so that we do not encroach on the habitats of our resident creatures.

In order to live as lightly on the land as possible we have a  solar array for our electricity, a solar powered bore hole pump and rainwater harvesting. We create our own compost from well rotted chicken manure that is then used on our vegetable and salad beds.
